The main chemical components of U75V heavy rail include carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), vanadium (V), etc. The silicon content is usually between 0.15% – 0.35%, which can enhance the strength and hardness of the steel. The vanadium content is between 0.04% – 0.12%. The addition of vanadium can refine the grains, improve the strength, toughness and wear resistance of the rail, and especially effectively improve the fatigue resistance of the rail.
