Product Introduction

GB/T 2585 is the current national standard “Hot-rolled Rails for Railways”, which is applicable to 38kg/m~75kg/m symmetrical section hot-rolled rails and online heat-treated rails. The P38 38kg rail has a head width of 70mm, a rail height of 134mm, and a bottom width of 114mm.

Commonly used steel grades include U71Mn, etc. Taking U71Mn as an example, “U” indicates the grade of the rail, “71” indicates that the carbon content ranges from 0.65% to 0.77%, and “Mn” indicates that the steel contains manganese, with a content of 1.1% to 1.5%, which is used to improve the strength and toughness of the steel.
According to GB/T 2585-2021 standard, the tensile strength of the rail shall not be less than 880MPa, the yield strength shall not be less than 550MPa, and the elongation after fracture shall not be less than 10%.

It is mainly used for laying crane trolley and trolley tracks, and is suitable for places such as ports, mines, steel plants, and hydropower stations that require large cranes to lift heavy objects.
