QU70 rails are usually made of U71Mn material. Through appropriate heat treatment process, their surface hardness can reach about HB300 – 380. This high hardness is achieved through reasonable ratio of alloy elements and precise heat treatment. The addition of manganese can effectively improve the strength and hardness of steel while ensuring a certain toughness. After heat treatment, the internal structure of U71Mn material is optimized, forming a fine and uniform pearlite structure, so that the rail has good wear resistance and deformation resistance.
